Damn, my boy has gotten some major pub, great for him. IMO the best PR boxer of all times(I'm too young to have watched Wilfredo Gomez other than youtube fights).

Maybe you should study up on PR boxers then before you proclaim him the best PR boxer of all time

Cotto is finally a mega superstar. That was the career defining win he needed to get to that level and it took a while but he got there. He is now without a question the 3rd biggest draw in boxing behind Pacquiao and Mayweather.

No need to go that far back, just watch Trinidad's fights.

Cotto is a better fighter than Tito ever was since he is more versatile. Cotto can box and brawl while Tito was more of one dimensional fighter with his punching power and got away from his boxing after the early part of his career.

I think the rating depends on what you look for. Do you look for better resume, entertaining style, skills, or a combination of all of the above? Also, do you include fighters that were developed in the USA like Macho Camacho?

I think the most skilled PR fighter ever was Macho Camacho, followed by Ivan Calderón.

I have Wilfredo Gómez ranked #1 and Trinidad #2. Camacho and Benítez could share the third spot and Cotto might follow. Cotto could go up in that list depending on what he does next.

No argument there. Those three are the only 3 I think that can pull off a PPV right now. Canelo and JCC Jr... need more time.
I don't think he'll break a million without Floyd or Pac though

Tito was technically sound, he had better timing and accuracy than Cotto. He has the better resume and would beat him head to head any day of the week.
