So Hatton, Marquez and Ortiz were mismatch and some of his nuthuggers give him credit. You guys are becoming just like him, winning fantasy matches. Cotto is not on FM Jr level. Floyd is special. He is the best of this era. But how Cotto can prove himself if he dont fight the best. You guys need some rationale and common sense. BTW, I think Floyds beats him now, beats him in 140, 147 but is not a mismatch. Floyd will win, he will adjust to Cotto's pressure, his ring IQ is in another level. But Cotto aint Hatton nor Ortiz.

I think Cotto is done at the very elite level, that is why I see it as a mismatch. And that isn't any disrespect to Miguel. He's a good fighter, but at this stage of his career, he's gets dominated. What I think has happened with alot of fight fans is that they're still a bit excited about the fight last Saturday (which is fine) and that excitement has them wanting to see him fight Floyd. It's not a fight that I would like to see personally.

It's not disrespecting Cotto, it's just that the last time he was in the ring with a great fighter, he took a very bad beating. We haven't seen him in the ring with anyone noteworthy since, so I can't imagine he is still good enough to give Mayweather any type of fight. We haven't seen any proof in years that he is capable of competing with someone as good as Mayweather.

Would be nice to see Miguel get the payday but Floyd stops him.

Could be a good fight, Cotto looked great on Sat (ok, Margarito is slow, predictable, blah blah blah but Cotto looked fast, slick, his defence has improved, excellent footwork) and would easily be the best fighter Floyd has fought...probably ever. So why not? Also Cotto is big and can punch. Why not? Why are people complaining about this fight? Sure I wanna see Pac-Floyd first and foremost, but aside from Pac, Cotto is probably the best challenge Floyd could accept around that weight division (since Martinez is clearly someone Floyd would move to Antartica to avoid).

              You can't be serious.

I rate Miguel highly enough to say he could give a very hard night to anybody outside of Mayweather.

I don't think it's a mismatch. I'd favor Floyd, but Cotto fighting Margarito and fighting Mayweather in the sense of his strategy would be completely different. Cotto's done exceptionally well against boxers. I think we've also learned in recent time to expect the unexpected, though in this case I wouldn't be shocked with a really good fight.

Why do you think he's finished at the elite level? He looked as good as ever on Saturday. Great footwork, quick hands, power, good combinations? I've seen many many Cotto fights and I think he looked as good as ever on Sat all things considered. Sure he looked a little more...spectacular in his most dominant fights at 140, but that's because he wasn't fighting anyone like Margarito - a big guy who hits hard. People need to respect his performance on Sat. I'm not even talking about anything other than how Cotto looked purely from a boxing point of view

Who has Floyd fought that's better? I'll wait.
