all of floyd's fights have been mismatches. didn't stop them from making them. if cotto re-signs with top rank we can forget about this one though. i think cotto will probably want a piece of pac again, which will be all for naught anyway.

i like cotto alot but i dont see him lasting too long. he will not like floyds style if he is agressive like against ortiz. he will be backing up hardcore and once again floyd will walk down the bigger man and land lead rights at will. cotto dont last 9.

Why can't people just admit that Cotto is a shot fighter and should not be considered as a opponent for Floyd? Beating a more shot fighter does not make you less of a shot fighter. Miguel's last three opponents were Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito. Those opponents prove he is a shot fighter and Arum is trying to salvage his money maker. In a so-called match-up, what can Cotto do to last with Mayweather? Seriously!!!! Cotto's only advantage over Floyd is weighing a little more and that will not be a advantage because Miguel will not out muscle Floyd. Floyd has every advantage plus a 5 inch reach advantage. Arum would not match Cotto with Floyd years ago. Why would he do it now? And why would anyone of you want to see it. Stop living in the past.

Don't push this fight on Floyd he might retire again like last time.
When Cotto beat Mosley in the November he was meant to face the winner of Mayweather vs Hatton, which took place a month later.
But Floyd decided to retire, I guess after beating the likes of Carlos Baldomir he felt he had reached the top and could no further.
Floyd tries to pick the easiest fights for the most money, Cotto does not fit into that category.
Will Floyd fight any of these fighters next:
Pacquiao 147lbs
Martinez 154lbs
Khan 147lbs
Cotto 154lbs
I very much doubt so

Yeah he needs to fight fighter such as Ortiz, Berto and Alexander, untested, inexperienced, flawed and lack a fighters mentality.
The real fans know who are the tough fights for Floyd and we also know those fight are unlikely to happen.
