It would be tolerable, but I can't see it being very competitive or interesting on fight night.

no not really; same problem as with martinez either make it at 154 or don't bother. floyd has a lot of options to fight

Mostly *****s saying 'no' both in the thread and the poll. No surprise there.

Everyone else would love to see the fight.

Why not? Cotto just rose another level as far as popularity is concerned, it would do big business. Won't happen though if Cotto stays at TR. Thanks Bob!

Honestly I don't want to see it... I don't even wanna see the Pacquiao fight anymore now that pacquiao done been exposed. The only person i want to see Floyd fight is someone that is in his league...which really.... is no one. No one is on his level right now... everyone he fights, he plays with them and embarasses them and makes it look like they can't fight.
I watch Floyd because i like seeing him put on a show and display his skills.... if he fought Cotto, this would just be one more person for him to display his skills, and make money off of. No matter who he fights he makes millions of Dollars. There could be someone out there that is not known thats skilled like mayweather... if there is such a person. THATS who i want to see fight him. Cotto can't beat him...

While I can't say that I'm not interested, the 154 division is way too loaded for Cotto to be looking either down or up. It's ridiculous that Cotto's only two potential fights are in middleweight against Chavez and Floyd at welterweight. I'm still waiting for Cotto to fight a legit top 154 pounder despite being ranked #1 in the division.

It is also my opinion that Miguel Cotto does not want to fight Floyd. Miguel Cotto has sat at ringside during Floyd's fights and watched floyd destroy his sparring partner while at the same time winking (at cotto). He's seen Floyd up close and personal and HE never called Floyd out. Especially now... after seeing Floyd completely dominate Mosely, and Marquez... and all the good fighters he faced. I think as a boxer Cotto knows that he is good.. but Floyd is great.

Would be boring in my opinion. I see Floyd pot shotting for 12 rounds. I dont see him staying in the pocket and boxing Cotto while standing his ground.
