this is boxing. you could get hit once and killed. i guess they should stop it before a punch is even thrown? damage is going to happen in boxing. margarito proved he could still see so why did they stop the fight? maybe it would get worse and he wouldn't be able to see later on in the fight? ok then stop it when it gets to that point not before. why didn't they stop the morales-maidana fight? because morales is the A-side! he couldn't see diddly squat yet margarito who could see but was just swollen is stopped? this was classic protection tactics. you shouldn't endorse them like it was on the up and up.

it was cottos house his show,and it was convienentley stopped to save cotto from further punishnment not margs because it was cotto in retreat not margs ,ive never seen cotto run for his dear life like i did in this fight,cotto was getting hit very hard at the time of the stoppage, Im not saying margs wouldve won afterall cotto had a sizable points lead,,if cotto coulda kept hightailing it for 2 more rounds he wouldve won a decision.If they were concerned for margs eye theyd of stopped it when cotto was winning not when he started to taste serious leather,the fight was almost a carbon copy of the first,the only difference is cotto ran more and took full advantage of margs vulnerable eye.margs should retire its over for him and from his performances since margs cotto should too.it was a cheap win but a much needed one ,for cotto.

Loved the fight! Would love to se them do it again. Noway should that fight have been stopped. margarito was picking up momentum. Cotto was slowing down. Was there enough time left for cotto do get knocked out...we will never know but that's what made the fight exciting towards the end. We the fans were robbed of those questions.

yes ,right when it was heating up weve seen enough cotto fights to know he gases out after 5 6 rnds maybe and the way he was getting caught it was just a matter of time, he maybe wouldve ran the clock out ,lets be fair margs isnt the same but cotto and margs were headed there it wouldve been a very interesting 3 rounds. They doctors gave cotto help when he most needed it ,he didnt need it before but at the time of stoppage cotto was gassing out and receiving more and more.

if he's cleared to fight he should be given the same opportunity as anyone else. the fight shouldn't be stopped because of what could happen. he could still see so why did they stop it? still waiting for a legit reason(there is none) people shouldn't be defending corruption. he still had a chance to win even if it was small but they didn't want him to possibly cash in that chance so they took matters into their own hands.

1st pac is only 1 & 1/2" smaller than him and they weighted the same. 2nd just look at his face , its clear that Margacheato punches were not hurting him as the first fight , just look at his face.
3rd with no or barley no vision in the right eye would be more easy for Cotto to hit him and move to the left as he was doing in the whole fight.
