if pac is off the table, then martinez is the fight to be made. after that cotto. khan has no business being talked about in the same league regardless

If cotto/mayweather happens, it has to happen after pac/mayweather. I say this because look at the marquez fight vs pac.

I really dont think may will have that EASY of a time vs cotto like all you guys think. I want cotto to fight him, so cotto can say he fought every one from his era.

Why not? It would be exciting while lasts. Better late than never. Some of you people make Cotto out as a has been...the guy is really versatile, he also does exceptionally well against boxers.

I wouldn’t dream of pouring scorn on Cotto as a fighter, but stylistically he’s p!ssing in the wind against Floyd. The only argument for the fight is that Cotto deserves a crack at it, no denying that, but it’s got ‘lop-sided 12rd decision’ written all over it.

Floyd should be fighting boxers with range and speed if his fights are to be competitive.

Think about it, there’s a reason only Hatton has given him any kind of fight in the last 4 years......and it’s not because Hatton is the best recent opponent Floyd has faced!

Cotto should fight Alverez, that’s the best fight out there for him, and for us, as fans.

Cotto is by no means slow, his timing alone will give Floyd trouble with the jab.

I have to completely disagree. Cotto won’t give Floyd any such issues in my opinion. Yes, Cotto has a good stiff well timed jab, but Floyd isn’t the man you’ll see on the end of it.

Floyd needs to fight someone like himself to be in a competitive fight, Cotto simply isn’t that man.

The last thing i want is to see is someone like Cotto lose a 12rd decision to Mayweather, Cotto doesn’t deserve that on his record, just like Marquez didn’t.

Get Mayweather in with Khan, that’s the most exciting fight out there right now. Failing that, another tall rangy fighter with speed and timing. Problem is, there’s not too many of them at 147/154

Mayweather wont fight Cotto after all the **** he said about Manny fighting his left overs.

Cotto should be aiming for Alverez, that’s the golden goose stylistically, failing that perhaps move to middleweight, it’s a soft division (Martinez aside)

Cotto vs Mayweather stinks of cash, nothing more. I hate that fight.

Anyway, if Cotto sticks with Bob Arum then a Mayweather fight won’t happen, so I’m fretting over very little really.
Yes but casual fans think Cotto can win. I am all for this fight. It gives the fans what they want and it gives Floyd what he wants. A night of ace woopin'

I can see Floyd's game plan now......block punches the whole round, land nothing of significance....let the judges give him the round.
