Please do not make Cotto / Mayweather!

I love Cotto, but you know Floyd would insist on it being at 147. Cotto is far, far too slow for Floyd, he’s made for Floyd’s style. It’s a bad, bad match up. Having said that, were i Floyd Mayweather I’d push for this fight all day long.

Cotto should be aiming for Alverez, that’s the golden goose stylistically, failing that perhaps move to middleweight, it’s a soft division (Martinez aside)

Cotto vs Mayweather stinks of cash, nothing more. I hate that fight.

Anyway, if Cotto sticks with Bob Arum then a Mayweather fight won’t happen, so I’m fretting over very little really.

Agree! I don’t think Manny v Mayweather is all that good either. Floyd needs opponents who are going to be tricky for his style, Khan would be one, but i don’t see that happening.

Mayweather vs Cotto IMO is still an interesting fight. Cotto's not always the speed demon in his fights (i.e Judah, Mosley). He's an underrated boxer with a strong jab. If people were getting excited about Mayweather vs Ortiz, how would anyone frown upon Mayweather vs Cotto? Especially now that both guys have crazy experience under the big lights?

I dono about you, but I actually wanna see a boxing MATCH, not a boxing CLINIC. khans name is still popping up as a potential for floyd. pretty sure khan doesnt even want to fight floyd. he has as much chance of beating him as he has of beating klitschko...
