same with boxer-puncher, countering isn't much a style as it is an added attribute to the boxer style
kind of like being slick which can be added to any style albeit it's alot harder if you're a swarmer

yea, it is, but you can gauge whose the better counter puncher. it is attribute but it eventually takes a style on its own.

people don't say floyd's the best outside fighter, they say what? he's the best counter puncher. counter punching eventually takes on a style of its own.

Here since you don't want to acknowledge it as a style, then just answer who do you think is the best counter puncher in the game.

i dont agree, it's like an outside fighter who can still fight in the inside, but during both they can counterpunch, so counterpunching can't be a style, you can't fight on the outside while being on the inside, but you can counterpunch whilst fighting on the outside, or fighting on the inside

edited, original thought mayweather but forgot marquez:
juan manuel marquez i think the best counter-puncher today, floyd counters with one shot and what makes him real good is his defense, marquez is best due to his counterpunching and he throws some beautiful combo counters

How can he be a better counter puncher than Floyd when he barely landed any counter against Floyd?

And we know damn well he ain't the best inside fighter.

                  Your list is laughable bad
im not sure hes THE best inside fighter in the world either but hes damn sure one of em. if you dont know that you dont recognize a great inside fighter when you see one.

and imo hes a far better outside fighter than both klitshko brothers, imagine floyd fighting the level of oposition the klits are ffs. the klits are taller but floyd is far more skilled and well rounded. he can outjab you, potshot, lead, beat em to the punch or counter. the klits can only lead with their jab and they overall just operate at a lower skill level than floyd, far lower even on the outside.

Floyd isn't a good inside fighter he is super hard to hit but usually just ties up instead of countering.

Alright then replace JMM with Floyd. A lightweight Floyd moving up to fight welterweight Floyd. Would lightweight Floyd have landed more counter than JMM did?
