Mitchell looked small vs katsidis at 135, 140 is not good for him at all.

        Mitchell will take Burns' belt.

Rios is too big for him. He's too big for everyone at that weight.

Good effort by John Murray. But he has to be thinking about a few fights and out now because he has taken two big beatings now.

He never really had the punching power to be effective at the top with his style. You need to hit at least as hard as Ricky Hatton to be a really world class fighter with that sort of style. He is always in punching range.

Rios is pretty crude. But boxing is not just about styles. Rios is going to punch you hard and you're going to have to be able to take it - that's as basic as it gets. A recently moved up super-feather like Mitchell won't be able to take what looks like at least a welterweight in Rios punches.

Murray vs Rios at 135 would be a good fight, but i think Rios would probably stop him. Murray did have Mitchell hurt in the second round i think it was but Mitchell boxed beautifully that night and proved he has a lot of power, 60/40 fight at 135 in Rios favour imo...

I'd be rooting for Kev all the way.

But no way does he win.

Frank will look after Mitchell. For me, he is a massive potential cash cow. When he becomes a world champion especially.

Mitchell is great to watch. He's like our own JMM just nowhere near as good, obviously. My favourite British fighter, really. He has more than one way of fighting which is always a plus for a British fighter. Had a nightmare against Katsidis but I've always insisted Mitchell would win that fight most of the time.

Agree with the poster above, Mitchell could potentially be a great fighter, think he beats Burns...

What? From what I've seen of Rios, Mitchell boxes the ears off Rios.

Mitchell looked far too uncomfortable under pressure against Katsidis for me to believe that's the case. If Kev could cope with the pressure and fight on the back foot I'd agree with you, but he was stopped in the 3rd round and buckled far too easy, there's no way he'd last 12 rounds against Rios. Guererro and Marquez and the only 135ers that would beat Rios.
