Margarito was gonna stop Cotto again and the doctor stopped it. Nothing was proved in this fight and Margarito still owns Cotto.

mma fights are all about entertainment and little to do with high level skill so an mma fight stopped on that basis would have had very little going for it so yes an mma fight should probably continue.

the fact that margarito's eye was fully closed and badly swollen show's that he WAS hurt. he's a tough guy and will keep marching through it, like he did vs pacquiao where he got his eye screwed the first time round.

cotto ran? well how did he manage to win 8 of 9 rounds then? he used MOVEMENT and boxed very intelligently. margarito is gonna come forwards all night long. if cotto did the same then they'd be on top of each other, body to body... then again you like all that that if you're an mma fan eh? two nice young men rolling around together on the floor. now for me that IS something to complain about.

I said in a different post that I have always admired Cotto's skills and he boxed beautifully last night. He earned that TKO but lets be real folks. Although i agree with most that Margarito is just a big brute with no skills, it was obvious Cotto wasn't hurting him with his punches. The only difference last night was Cotto having a better game plan. Instead of taking punishment on the ropes like he did the first time they fought, Cotto used more head and lateral movement and held on when Margarito got close. So from looking at this fight last night, i really don't think Margarito used hand wraps and the only difference is Cotto fighting smarter.
