8.5, really good all round performance.

I thought he lost some of the inside exchanges and could've clinched more to wrap Margo up.

Everything else was superb, it looked like Pac/Margo out there at times the way he was teeing off on him.

Cotto won, by boxing, he did NOT beat the **** out of Tony, he did not prove Plaster was used, he made idiots believe that by using bigger gloves in this fight... and by adjusting his game plan a bit.

However I believe Margarito had him figured out at the end of the 9th and a Puerto Rican Dr saved Cottos ass
I understand you're hurting but you should take the man's family out of your sig imo, there's a line.

He fought smarter, tied up, smothered Margarito when he had to, used his right hand alot more, moved well (Although sometimes too much for my liking). Definitely an 8, thing is...Margarito couldn't have been more ripe for Miguel.

It was Rafael Marquez-Vazquez 4 in that although both went tit for tat in those 3 fights, one guy clearly had more left going into the 4th fight and that showed. It's the same case here, while both aren't in their prime, Cotto clearly had more left, so other than winning in impressive fashion what else was I suppose to expect?

Hats off to Cotto, let's not take anything away from him he put in a superb performance, he did things I didn't think he was quite capable of. He changed up his gameplan from the first fight perfectly to neutralise Margarito. So what did he do differently, well instead of backing up in straight lines and going to the ropes where Marg could hammer him he used lateral movement so he was much harder for Margarito to find. When Margarito did close the gap and force his way inside he stopped Margarito uppercuting him by doing several things. He closed the gap further and clinched, he threw hooks from angles, he sat on his punches more to stop Margarito pushing him back and stop him. Another thing he did was use the occasional headbutt coming off the ropes to take away Margarito's rythm. Brilliant strategy, well done to him and his trainer, they put in a master class.

That's a great point, Dominicano. Also, both Vazquez and Margarito had eye issues which greatly helped the outcome of their fights.

It was depressing to see how much Margarito had deteriorated last night.

Cotto went with a great gameplan and he boxed beautifully.

I thought he could of sit more on his punches and throw more body shots. He was backing Margarito a couple of times in the fight and never really took advantage of that.

He got hit a little too much for the way he was fighting.

                  Other than that, Good performance.

                    7.5.

Cotto did a few things better this time round. Span him a few times on the ropes which was good, instead of just laying on the ropes pretty much exclusively. Tied him up a bit, although still very rarely.

It was a good performance but he still has the glaring weaknesses he's always had and obviously will always stay with him as a fighter.

But good performance none the less, I had winning every round.

Would be nice to see him fight a good fighter now, though.
