i agree. cotto does not have one punch power and it would be a mistake to play to margaritos advantage and not your own. IMO margarito should have got a two year ban at the least. but he was allowed in his first fight in the USA from suspension to partake in a farce of a title match. thats one of the reasons cotto is pissed at arum and he should be. arum defended this guy tooth and nail. he had no compassion for cotto. the disfigured face of cotto tells me the wraps were loaded. some people use the cotto v margarito pic to tout pac. but those pics are from the assault of cotto v margarito. to cheat in boxing were your actions could maim or kill another is deplorable.

true. when i first saw the thread i was like, oh hell no! but then i saw ms cotto went up to tony and asked him. so it was not dis-respect on margaritos part. mama cotto felt it was vindication for he son. hey a moms gonna do what a moms gonna do.

what people dont realize is that margarito was the only opponent since singsurat to seriously hurt pac - and even singsurat didnt hurt him, he was just weight drained.

The doctors said it themselves they were gonna stop the fight earlier....but it wasint untill margarito started wearing cotto down that the doctors decided to stop it!!!!

margarito was backing cotto down and starting to connect while cotto would run and run!!!!

regardless of where the racism comes from it still befuddles me. the reason the fight was stopped, was margarito was in grave danger of losing his eye forever. do you really think the Dr cares about the fighters race? he has a duty to protect the fighter when the fighter wont protect himself. just like Vitali v lewis. they had to stop the fight as vitali's eye was screwed. also if the DR didnt stop the fight and let it continue, he could be held culpable for damages. the world is much bigger than petty racism.
