Poll: Chad Dawson vs Prime Roy Jones

When I say prime Roy Jones, I mean a few years before he lost to Tarver, when he still had all his muscles. So say 28-30 years old. Before jumping the gun, I'd like you guys to consider these things.

    1. Chad Dawson will bring his A game, he thought Pascal was easy work and highly underestimated him. His mind clearly wasn't there, or whatever excuse he has. If he knows he has a fight against the great Roy Jones, he will not be careless and screw up an opportunity like that.

    2. Roy Jones clearly has the faster hands and is more athletic, but Dawson is no slouch, he's up there as well.

    3. Dawson has the height and reach advantage. He is slicker and has the better defense and combos.

Personally, I think this will look like a draw if it were to happen, but most likely Roy will get the nod in the end.

Jones by clear decision. Chad would fall behind early and Jones would be content to play cat and mouse with his using his better speed and movement. I like Dawson, but nothing suggest to me that he beats a prime Jones.

Another factor to consider, what boxer did Roy Jones face that was comparable to Chad Dawson in size and talent? I really don't see it on his record. Not to discredit RJJ.

1.whatever excuse he had with pascal he'd have for this matchup.
                2. he might be up there but not on the same level as roy.
                3. he has like 2 inches on roy, that wouldn't make a difference.

i think dawson would be a tough opponent but roy would win a clear decision in this one.

I'm not saying Dawson will win. I was just pointing out a few things to consider before making a hasty prediction. I think it is foolish to think RJJ walks through Dawson. Dawson would be the toughest opponent that RJJ has faced.
