I consider myself a fan or floyd, pac, cotto and marg but even I know Floyd retired to avoid them. Cotto and Margarito are like Castillo x 2 and two weightclasses above with more solid chins.

Other than Mosley those wins are about as good as beating Baldomir really.

And when Mayweather signed to fight Oscar, Cotto hadn't even beat Mosley yet, or Judah for that matter.

He must have forgotten Baldomir beat Judah. I also had Mosley/Cotto 6-5-1 for Mosley.

I felt it was a close fight but I had Cotto winning by a few rounds.

Can't remember how I scored it but the few times I scored I had Cotto winning.

Close fight, though. Can't argue with your card personally.

1 win doesn't mean a whole lot in boxing. the overall resume is what counts. douglas beat tyson but no one thought douglas was more of a threat to holyfield than tyson. floyd's been fooling people by fighting the douglas' of the worlds and not the tysons'. cotto and margarito have beaten 9 top 10 fighters at welterweight. they were clearly the most dominant fighters when floyd was around. how many have mitchell, judah, baldomir, hatton, and ortiz beaten? 4 combined!

                    Mosley> Margarito/Cotto.
oh come on, you cant be serious. I know Floyd fans want to make believe that Mosley was some amazing fighter when Floyd beat him, but he wasnt. He was coming off a year and a half layoff, and not long after fighting Floyd struggled against Sergio Mora...and even Mora got his ass kicked by Brian Vera, so its not like he was in amazing shape either.

not that I dont respect the win, but damn, dont overrate it. Cotto after the Judah fight was clearly better than the Mosley Mayweather or Pacquiao fought.

Still, it still doesn't change the fact that what you said about Cotto beating 'Top Welterweights' pre Oscar was wrong.

And 2 of the the 3 names you used as examples he hadn't even fought yet.

Pre-Oscar, Cotto had beaten Urkal and Quintana.

And Oscar was obviously the better fight to take compared to Cotto at that point.
