He wouldn't get past Cotto or Margarito.

The Cotto that got KTFO by Marg is better than any version of mayweather possible

That's why if he beat atleast one of them he could atleast be a worthy challenger to pacs fighter of the decade award.

nope floyd should be fighter of the decade regardless, Pacquaio has not doen nothing of susbstance till and since de la hoya he been fithing tailer made fights, Floyd been fighting the top names at thetime not top names of the past.

It doesn't really do much for his legacy at this stage. If he beat them when they were first mentioned then yes; great. But not now.

And if he did & he beat them both (which I believe he would) then you'll only get *******s on here saying about how it doesn't matter cause Pac did it 1st. (same as the argument with Pacs win over DLH, Hatton & Mosley.) It's the sad circle of life on this site.

what are you talking about? floyd left top rank just so he wouldn't have to fight them. arum tried to make the fights but floyd price himself out by demanding 10 million to fight 140 pound cotto(same amount he got to fight delahoya) if floyd's only getting 10 to fight delahoya how can he get 10 to fight cotto? impossible obviously. he turned down 8 million to fight margarito(massive career high) he even demanded 20 million to fight delahoya just so he wouldn't have to resign with top rank and fight them but then he accepted 10 million once he left so his demands were obviously just bullshi-t to prevent the fights from happening. if he wanted to fight cotto or margarito after he fought delahoya and make huge money how come he never offered them a fight? remember he said he's the one that makes the offers........yet no offers.

Mayweather trounced Mosley when he was at the top of the division, Mosley already obliterated Margarito, and fought neck and neck with Cotto.

                    Mosley> Margarito/Cotto.
