Comments Thread For: Arum: Cotto, Margarito Want The Chavez Jr. Showdown

The winner of tonight's rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito could become a leading contender to face WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Cotto and Margarito are fighting for the WBA's junior middleweight title in the main event of a stellar card at New York's Madison Square Garden in New York City.

I hope Cotto wins and exercises his free agency and jumps ship to Golden Boy. Would be more intriguing fights for him. Mayweather, Canelo, Kirkland, but I think a Cotto-Alvarez clash would be awesome. Of course Bob is throwing Chavez name out there so he could keep the fight in house. Chavez already said he wants a tune up fight b4 he fights cotto or margarito. How many more damn tuneups does he need?

So if Marg wins the cheater gets another payday or Cotto is forced to come up to 158. What a schmuck.

JCC Jr beats Cotto imo,and all depends on how Marga's looks if he can win tonight..But from past fights I'd give Marga's the better chance at beating him..This could be interesting if Arum puts the winner tonight with JCC Jr,sign me up for that...
