"At which point, Koncz walked in, introduced
himself, and immediately began talking about making a fight. Having absolutely no idea who he was, it was the fist time that Mayweather had ever heard the name Michael Koncz"

Mayweather had absolutely no idea who Koncz is? That just shows what a liar he is talking nothing but a bunch of nonsense all the time.

or he could have simply called his advisor and promoter to talk to Konz.

the fact that Manny sent Konz TO FLOYD'S CAMP shows his intent to really make the fight happen. but NOOOOOO..

floyd had to go all diva on Konz and get upset that he didn't talk to his promoter. and what happened to floyd's saying that HE's the boss and that HE'S HIS OWN PROMOTER?

what happened to "take the test and we get the fight"?!?!?

i swear, you guys are so filled with so much hate that you fail to see what's obvious.
Yes Floyd is his own boss, his own promoter. He still has guys like Haymon and Ellerbe to negotiate for him. Maybe other lawyers....When Oscar started GBP he was his own boss, promoter. But, still had Schafer, and others in his team to negotiate for him when it was time to make fights.

If you have a team that negotiates for you then they have to be part of the negotiations.

if arum really did say that, then i don't blame floyd.

Fight Hype interviews Koncz as well... He knows him, but his ego is too big to admit.
what bothers me is that they made so much fuss about a single floyd's fan though. jeff went to floyd to ask him if a random fan could meet him. hmmmm. also i recall bpp saying a few days ago, that floyd usually does have investors involved in his fights. idk what to say except the negotiations don't seem to be very serious atm.

I do find it funny that Floyd said he doesn't need investors...When yes he does.

And, of course he has to have Haymon and Ellerbe in negotiations with him if that's what you're alluding to...You don't see Pac going in negotiations without Arum or Koncz or even Salud do you?
the fact that floyd himself ADMITTED THAT KONZ TALKED TO HIM is already proof of manny's interest in negotiating for a fight.

if he felt that Konz had to talk to his advisors, then why didn't he simply arrange for a meeting? a man who is truly interested to see the fight happen would have eagerly arranged for talks to happen, and now here is Manny's representative himself right in front of him and he simply blows the man off?

you yourself said floyd was wrong in saying that he didn't need investors. plus him not knowing who konz is? i simply find that had to believe.

true, BOTH camps are to blame for the previous failure of negotiations, BUT in this instance, its floyd who's playing unusually hard to get...

Only chance I see is if one of them looses a decisive battle and is on steady decline on fight sales. Then we'll see one of them bend over backwards for that last bit of hurrah money. At that point it wont matter to anyone anymore except the fanatics.

as i said before, what i found su****ious is floyd's unwillingness to do something as simple as scheduling a meeting between konz and his promoters.

he never told Konz what HE wanted. he simply nodded to what Konz said and THEN told everyone what he wanted, WHEN KONZ WAS NO LONGER THERE. what did he expect knoz to do... read his mind?

In the same token Koncz and Arum know who deals with Floyd. So if they really were interested in negotiating a fight like you claim. They would have contacted Haymon and Ellerbe as well. Not just show up out of nowhere to a boxing gym with cameras in handy.

The only thing you said that I agree with is that both camps are to blame.

Both guys are playing hard to get. is time for both to **** or get off the pot. Either fight or retire.
