Cotto HAS to make Marg take backward steps at times....he HAS to put something extra into those left hooks and right hands to get Marg's respect...he HAS to land his left hook to the body....these things are a MUST!!!....if he does those things, he'll toy with, torture, humiliate and then stop Marg around the 10th.....Cotto can't get cute like he did in their first fight, at some point he gotta back dude up and let him know this aint 2008....its a new day bro!!

the power ranking is a bit weird. margarito is definitely bigger and more powerful punch for punch.
cotto will have to avoid exchanges ,and try to keep the distance and outbox marg. if he gases early margo is going to steamroll him again. tony is ****ing relentless, a real marcos maidana of his div.

Wouldn't it be funny if this turned out to be a stinker. Everyone one of us is expected a repeat of the first fight.

The main reason in my book Cotto lost the first fight was one thing: Lack of body punches. You can hit Margarito all day in his head, he will not take an inch of a backwards step, but when you jab him, hook him to the body (look at Mosley fight) it throws his rhythm off, and he backs up and resets, it's what Mosley did to him. Cotto as good of a body puncher is, did not do this ironically in the first fight, and that's where he lost it, a tactical fault that led to a physical losing fault. It's MANDATORY that he shoots jabs to the body and hooks. If he repeats he same pattern in the first fight, look for a similar outcome. If he mixes it up to the body, it'll make a difference, and he'll possibly win by stoppage. Just my take.

it has controversy potential. i wonder what happens if cotto can get enough shots on margarito's eye to swell it. could be premature stoppage ,and nobody would be happy about it.

Leo, I tihnk Cotto definitely has better power on his punches. . . it's just that margarito throws a lot more punches, and can gradually break you down. . . in the process taking away your energy and power on your punches. . . and of course, he has that iron beard and maximum punch resistance.

but punch for punch, i believe cotto is heavier handed. . .
