yeah but who is gonna sell more tickets???
a british commonwealth champ????
or the guy who beated Tyson??
think about it im talking about the average fan not the ones who really knwo what is going on people in the US still have tyson on a shrine.
I do agree with you in the terms of what you're saying. I'm just saying from Skelton's point of view it's unfair. He's worked his way up the rankings and hasn't been beat. McBride's just the world's luckiest bum. Yet because McBride pulled out Matt loses out.
I realise that McBride is the biggest name, but from Skelton's POV it's a real pisser, ain't it?

ohh hell yeah, McBride just pulled out that fight would have gotten Skelton more exposure in the US, and maybe a title shot
Ehhhh, there's too much of this. One fight every year means that people have a very short top ten shelf life. Negotiations and avoidance are the most time consuming part of heavyweight boxing instead of preperation for fights.
People falling into belts (both Klitshcko and Rahman) are sad to me. Let's have a fight by the no.1 contender and no.2 for the belt. At least give the title SOME legitimacy.
