This kinda' what I think as well, though I hold Canelo in higher regard than rey does apparently.

As long as Chavez can make some kinda' fight out of it it'll do him no harm in the long run.

didn't really put that right, I think Alvarez is a way better talent then Chavez. if Chavez fought Martinez and lost, he could always say at least he stepped up and fought a world class fighter whereas Canelo hasn't really fought any real threats so far.
