Yes. That is ridiculous. As is any post that implies Pacquiao looked bad as a ploy to entice Floyd to fight. However, for my money, it is no more ridiculous than accusing Pacquiao of being on steroids without any proof.

First of all, I've had the same core group of hardcore fans as associates for years. And none of them to a man care at all about this fight. I'm not talking media. I could care less what the media says. I'm talking people that I know for a fact have followed this sport for decades and they could care less if this fight happens or not.

Second of all, thinking that JMM "mixed it up" with Pac shows a lack of boxing IQ on your part. JMM's lack of mixing it up is what made the fight close. If he had opened up more, he likely would have won going away. And like I said, Mayweather won't have to mix it up because he can hit Pac before Pac hits him. Pac is very predictable. He starts strong. Counter him effecively and his activity drops. What appeared to you as JMM mixing it up was actually Pac throwing Pac after being hit. He won't have these opportunites against Mayweather because when Money hits him, he'll be outta Pac's range. JMM is the same height and has basically the same reach. He had to put himself in harm's way to land, Mayweather doesn't.

You should work on your reading comprehension. I didn't say that JMM mixed it up in his last fight with Pacquiao. I was a t the fight. I don't think that either fighter did much of anything. Neither guy was ever in trouble, and frankly, I don't think that either guy was ever really hurt. However, you are foolish if you think that Mayweather is anywhere close to as aggressive as JMM is in the ring.

Doesn't Roger just talk like an uneducated, gangsta brutha from the hood, who thinks he's "credible"? Floyds had three years to sign to fight Manny; why now? The fight was as big three years ago, as it would be now. Floyd hoped a few wars for Pacquiao would beat him down, soften him up, less risky. Floyd thought wrong. He still gets knocked out if he grows a pair and climbs in the ring with Manny. And yet, he's still not going to agree to fight. He or brutha Roger will come up with something to avoid the fight. Watch.

Nice canned explanation. I haven't heard this before. JMM is a great counter-puncher, however JMM is also not afraid to mix it up. He is not afraid of taking punches. Mayweather isn't aggressive. Like at all. He will be content with picking his spots and staying on the outside. Personally, I don't think that will be enough to win him the fight. I think Pacquiao will be able to be a lot more aggressive with Floyd, and I think that he will land the bigger punches.

Really,though, this is not what I have an issue with. You have done something that many Floyd fans do. You made a statement, and then when called out on it you change the subject.

Again. Can you give me some examples of these "hard core" fight fans wanting to see PBF-Martinez over PAC-PBF? And I don't mean Floyd groupies from this site. Also, can you please provide some examples of boxing experts that have long believed a fight between the two will be a joke or a mis-match? I assume this shouldn't be hard for you to find, as you made the statement so confidently...

He doesn't have to be agrgressive against a fighter like Pac who makes mistake after mistake. JMM showed the least amount of aggression he ever has with Pac, and probably fought his best fight against his last month. Pac fights reckless and a precision counterpuncher is gonna pick him off every time. And worse than that, when Pac is being countered effectively, he has lulls. And he's not good enough defensively to protect himself during these lulls. But anyway, keep holding on to hope. Pac can beat Mayweather. But, he has about a 3-4 round window to do it. If he doesn't in that window, he's gonna be humiliated. Most boxing fans would much rather see the best fighter in the world in the ring with someone who has more than a puncher's chance of beating. Which is why the Mayweather-Martinez match-up is a lot more interesting.
