Comments Thread For: Chisora Rips Euro Promoters: They'd Sell Their Mothers

British heavyweight Derek Chisora (15-1, 9KOs) drew laughter from local reporters when he discussed his frustrations with European promoters. On Saturday in Helsinki, Finland, he faces Robert Helenius for the vacant EBU heavyweight title at the sold-out Hartwall Arena. Chisora was previously scheduled to fight WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, twice, and both times Klitschko withdrew with injury. Chisora never got his shot. Klitschko instead took a very lucrative fight with David Haye, and Chisora lost a twelve round decision to domestic rival Tyson Fury.

People rip Chisora but he isnt half bad. He's got balls for fighting one of the biggest prospects in Heavyweight boxing.

Sadly, i cant see him beating Helenius. I think Helenius will stop Del Boy.

How long was Del Boy's camp for this? 3 weeks?
Surely there's no way he's ready, he was fat and gassed for Fury, are we going to see much better here?

That said, can't help but like the guy!

i think del boy takes a beating but he cracks me up & i want to see how good he really is.i was hoping he'd be lighter & in shape vs fury but 2 botched wlad fights(which were blatant financial ducks yet haye gets grief for doing the same) i'm sure were huge let downs...helenius in rd 5 at the latest...

I give Chisora props for taking this fight, Fury seems to be taking a more cautious route which is the traditional way to build up domestic heavyweights. If he does get the win then he's probably fighting Wlad next.
