Do you think Mayweather ducked Cotto out of fear?

First of all, I'm not a hater or anything close to crap like that. I would just like to read some opinions regarding this matter. I've never quite understood Mayweather when asked about Cotto. At first, he said Cotto was green. Then Cotto became, pretty much, the top welterweight in the world around 2007. Floyd chose to face Hatton instead. With the talent that Floyd has, seriously, I don't get why he would fear Cotto. Do you think Mayweather feels that Cotto has the style to beat him?

No, and I honestly don't think Cotto could beat him most days. Anything can happen in boxing, but I would not expect Cotto to win that bout, though I would of course be rooting for him. I do think Cotto could present a challenge for him, though.

Arum has a history of HOLD GRUDGES...I don't know why he gets a pass and why people in the media are so afraid to call him out and EXPOSE HIM FOR WHAT HE IS...the Media acts like they are AFRAID of Arum

Cotto is slow and flat footed. I love cotto but, may would have beat the living **** out of cotto. I can explain everything but, it doesn't matter. Hey if cotto wins and looks good i would love to see cotto may next year.

Because Cotto was someone who was supposed to be Floyds toughest challenger at that time and his toughest opponent to date, and Floyd never made an effort to show he could beat him. Floyd is supposed to be so great without having fought the best opponents so no one cares if Cotto screamed anything!

It was so obvious Cotto was the biggest challenge for Floyd at that time, yet i seem to remember Floyd saying something along the lines of, Cotto must prove himself a bit more become a bigger name or something similar to that.
