if devon beats maidana would people lay off all this hate towards him? the guy is doing wht most all these fighters are not, he is takin hard fights, so i really dont get why mfs hate on devon. u dont think a fighter can advance from bad fights. u dont think he himself knows how important this fight is? lets watch the fight first, if he look bad then granted everything thts been said but if he goes in fuc maidana around then wht?

then he's still lost three fights in a row before the maidana fight. . . he still quit against bradley IN THE MOST BLATANT FASHION. . although i am willing to give him somewhat of a pass - he got frustrated, was outclassed and he knew it; looked for a way out. . . it happens. . . but it just doesn't sit well how he has wins over kotelnik and matthyssee when everybody knows he lost.

i think alexander has a good chance to beat maidana. . . he doesn't have a bad chin, and he does have pretty good stamina, although he only throws arm punches and pulls back and has no power on them. .

I'm really looking forward to seeing this fight. I think the winner should fight the wlnner of Berto/Ortiz. Then the losers should fight each other. With these 4 guys and Khan, Bradley, Mike Jones, and Pauli Malinaggi, the welter and jr welter divisions are the best in boxing. They should definitely have a tournament. It would be better than the supermiddle weight supersix tournament. The winner, i think would become the next big thing in the sport, and it would bring boxing back to the forefront of sports.

This fight just screams controversial decision. It seems like to beat Alexander by decision, you have to be just as big a star, which Maidana isn't, or you have to knock him out, which Maidana can do but I don't expect.

Most likely Alexander gets the nod, whether he deserves it or not.
