Dempsey, I'm surprised at you. You're dealing there with a liar and low-life of the worst kind. I'm guessing a bit, but, unlike the financial adverts " past performance DOES guarantee future....(of much the same).

I'm flattered that you compare me with Cervantes' most famous hero, even in an uncomplimentary way. You soften The Dumb one's viciousness. I'm accustomed to being denigrated on this site, but always by the lowest or most ****** kind, who don't even know how to spell t-r-u-t-h. Maybe I'm wrong about you.

interesting. I'm new to the game so still learning all the tactics and players, but i have to admit some of the athletes are phenom's especially for their size. Very easy game to watch.....fast, tactical and brutal.

This was before the Mayweather "rebirth". I agreed with him, #4 was a natural, a huge attraction. You can be sure, that as a true contest, it would be a hell of a lot more interesting to a REAL boxing follower, that Pacquiao-Mayweather, which could "stink out the house" like the MannyP-Mosley fight.

Then...we saw this "hot" new development that Mayweather is eager to fight Pacquiao.

I believe that this was a combination of MannyP's relatively poor Marquez performance and the fact (we saw it on BoxingScene as well), that MannyP's lawyers had just appeared in court to proceed with his defamation suit against Mayweather.

I assume that he will try to make it a condition of the fight that Pacquiao drops the suit. If I were he, I wouldn't, since he stands to get much more in damages from a successful verdict, and I'd bet that his lawyers, the best available, have a tight case with dozens of witnesses and a long list of actual and potential damage caused.

              Just my opinion.
No, that is not correct at all. When Ellerbe first mentioned the MGM and May 5th, he said that Floyd wants"the biggest fight possible" and then he said that Floyd wants "the little fella"..... and everyone knew who that meant.

Richard Schaefer is trying everything just to get his name included in the talks. Now we all know that this Schaefer is nothing but a society climber.

He's kinda Floyd's promoter, why shouldn't he be involved? Because Bob Arum says so..,

No, I don't believe I was wrong, I didn't exactly complete the information. That omission was discussed wasn't it, and there was another top class "little fella" whose name came up, it was thought by some, ithat he might be meant, just can't remember who.

And the fact that Pacquiao's name wasn't mentioned seemed deliberate,as there was no reason why it shouldn't have been. I think this was also discussed.

The news about Pacquiao's lawyers proceeding with the defamation case in court came out later by about a week and I believe caused Mayweather to become eager to fight. As I've said before, I believe he'd hope to make dropping the case a condition of the fight.

I'm not that interested in the fight after all this time, becaus such a huge heap of rubbish is constantly being retailed about the two of them. I just stick my nose in when I see something I believe not to be correct or deserving support. I have no other axe to grind. Although I truly detest Mayweather the person. And Hopkins,..that's all. but No hate. That's a ******ly childish expression as used on these pages anyway.

I've just searched the internet, I just knew that the quote wasn't exactly as represented. I couldn't find a single reference that Mayweather had said anything more than "I want to arrange the biggest fight there is". When questioned about it, It was only under questioning that Ellerbe supplied the "who else could he mean but Pacquiao", without actually saying that Mayweather mentioned Pacquiao by name.. In fact the both quotes come from him with no proof that they came from Mayweather at all. Some who believed that Marquea had beaten MannyP, believed that the little fella was Marquez. They just didn't know it was all to ambiguous.

This situation is like a game of "Snakes and Ladders"".
