One thing I don't understand is sign what? Floyd is constantly talking about signing something. From what I gathered they barely had any talks with Top Rank, and Even Ellerbe said Koncz visited to take photos and Floyd's autograph. Schaeffer said there were no negotiations at all. Again, what is there to sign? Looks like a standard case of Floyd talking out of his ass.

When people blame Arum, I don't see the logic in it. People saw Arum, maybe for the first time. They also saw Jerry Jones, the guy who brought boxing into his stadium. Arum wanted the fight so bad he even brought a mediator to the scene. Arum, the mediator, joined in eventually by Schaefer and Hoya, literally begged in front of Floyd to make the fight happen. Traveling around, meeting important people, arranging meetings certainly involves large amounts of money. I don't know how much money Arum spent in trying to bring people and things together. If that is not the picture of a man who wanted the fight to happen, I don't know what is.
