    David Haye’s road to redemption...

I still don’t believe the fight will happen, i am pretty sure that Vitali will fight Chris Arreola in a rematch next March.

    However..

If ever a fighter NEEDED to claw back some respect, it is Mr David Haye.

I backed him feverishly in July and was made to look like (and feel like) a right proper wally after his pathetic attempt, not to mention the even worse excuse. I couldn’t believe what unfolded before my eyes.

But, i believe in second chances. If this fights gets signed then of course, I will back him 100%. I am an Englishman and thus will always encourage my brethrens, BUT, Mr Haye, you must fight like an Englishman. Show the heart and courage of an Englishman and never surrender !

I am simply not convinced his bottle is what he claims it to be anymore, but potentially he has a chance to prove me wrong, and for his sake and his reputations sake, i hope he does

the hell with that, its not that he lost, its that he ran his mouth big time then put absolutely no effort into the fight.

I don’t blame him for running his mouth, hey it got him the fight AND got him a fat pay day, this is boxing man, you do what you gotta do. The issue was in his performance which was embarrassingly dismal. He lost ALL respect and he needs to get some back. He must take this fight and he must prove his worth by putting in an effort that supersedes anything he’s ever done previously. I don’t mind him losing, as long as he gives it his all.

The only thing that could have made that better is if you'd had Rule Britannia (which should be the national anthem) playing in the background.

He fought scared not sure if he can change that against Vitali. Probably the same result but a far better matchup than Vitali Arreola

If it gets signed up, I think most Brits will be happy to back him in the hope he pulls off the upset, but equally i think a fair few Brits will chuckle to themselves if he gets flattened and laid out.

Lets get this fight signed up because I'm down for watching it

No chance Vitali fights Chris. Wladimir wants to get his name on his record too.

As for Haye; now that things have settled down, I think he's genuinely ashamed. He doesn't want to be remembered like that. Let's see what happens.

I don't think Arreola is even remotely being considered. He lost every minute of every round of that fight.

Haye only really fought in the final round and he actually made Wlad uncomfortable. He should fight Vitali only if he's prepared to really put it all on the line. Personally, if he gets KTFO'd because he tried to out **** Vitali he will get my respect, I just don't want to see him dance around throwing wild inaccurate haymakers on the off chance of a lucky connect..

It's a massive chance for Haye to gain some respect back from the boxing community.

If he puts in the kind of performance he did against Wlad then all his accomplishments will be overlooked. But if he can put in a gutsy performance, put it all on the line then he'll be fondly remembered again (even if he loses).

Massive chance for Haye but he doesn't really have anything to lose if this fight comes off. He can't lose anymore respect; so **** it why not just go for it and give it a right good go.
