People here are conffusing things. Luis Resto didn't finish neither the carrier nor the life of billy. As a matter fact he got the green light t continue fighting but he refused to fight because he and his dad were more interested in a multi million suit against the new york athletic commision.
Refusing to fight and having too much time in his hands. He one day ******ly decided to drve while intoxicaded. And that's when he crashed and died. Luckily he didn't killed any inocent people like is the case with a lot of these irresponsible mother****ers. At least Bob had the " decency ", if you can call it that, to blame Billy's dad, and not Billy himself for that..... and he only did that because he did not want to be sued for promoting the event.

You are a dumb c#nt, not that i believe everything i read but this is what wikipedia has to say about Collins in the Injuries and Death section:

In the Resto fight, Collins' eyes were swollen shut, especially shocking since Resto was known to be a light puncher. He suffered a torn iris and permanently blurred vision, which prevented him from boxing again. After losing two jobs in a short time after the fight, he began drinking heavily. His violent mood swings threatened his marriage.

On March 6, 1984, he crashed his car into a culvert near his home in Antioch, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. He was killed on impact. Many commentators, as well as Collins' family, believe that the loss of his livelihood broke him psychologically and that his death was a suicide.

Sounds to me that a fighter with a promising career was robbed of his dreams by a cheating pr!ck, and it ended up costing him his career and eventually his life, and there are some cold heartless sons of b!tches like yourself who just wanna defend the real criminal, F@GGOT.

No need for name calling because you (EAAE) might be wrong too. In the HBO documentary Arum says Billy was offered to fight again, Even his wife confirmed this in the interview. If i remember correctly he was even cleared by the doctor to fight again, I think the doctor was interviewed I have to go back and watch it again. So His dad didn't want Billy to fight because of pending lawsuits at the time (wife also confirms). unfortunately Billy not getting back in the ring is what eventually I believe led to his death. Not defending Resto for what he did but he did payed for his crime maybe he should of served more time along with Panama Lewis but its not for me to judge.

Fair enough i could be wrong, im going on wikipedia, i even wrote 'not that i believe everything i read' i havent seen the documentary and will keep an open mind when watching it but to tell u the truth, anything Bob Arum is behind i will have my doubts about, he has earned that. the reason i blew up at that other dude is because of his lack of compassion, like as if what resto did had no effect on the outcome on the rest of Collins life.

because Marge got caught before he had a chance to use them on Mosley, and Cotto wants revenge on the guy who handed him his first defeat, thats pretty simple, i would wanna get revenge too, especially under the circumstances.

i don't know but ****m had said that when the block fell out of margaritos wraps that night that he thought he messed the fight up and that they were going to take margarito to jail so it was serious enough that the opposing trainer thought margarito might be going to jail that night
