Canelo is beholden to GBP. Dela Hoya, in particular, dictates who Alvarez fights and most likely what to say in his interviews. That's why this Cinco de Mayo thing is beginning to take shape. It's clear that it's not Pacquiao GBP and Mayweather have in mind when mentioning that date. GBP would rather not share the revenues with Top Rank as possibly as they can.
