Poor Golden Boy, you helped Floyd get in finances in order and now you are out of picture. Can you imagine how Oscar feels about being left out of the biggest fight in the history of boxing? He'll probably want to cry, or put on a wig and pantyhose.
golden boy still gets 15 percent off of PAC!!!!!!!!! for doing nothing lol remember that. they are going to make an easy 10 mill for not even being involved. floyd is a smart business man and im sure they met with al haymon as well because floyd doesnt do a THING without al haymon aka the ghost OK.

How can you go and negotiate a fight and not want the guys that actually do the negotiating in there to negotiate?

This is like Ellerbe and/or Haymon going to see Pac. Negotiate a fight with Pac without Koncz or Top Rank involvement...It's just not happening. It doesn't happen that way.

Hmm....Matter of fact, Ellerbe and/or Haymon should go to Pac personally with a contract. Pac will sign it...Lord knows there isn't a contract that Pac hasn't liked to sign.

You're talking like a typical BoxingScene fool. Arum's "cut" as you like to put it, is already fixed by contract, 27%, and his arrangement is purely with Manny Pacquiao. Other promoters charge 30%.

You're just another "expert" who wants to connect Arum with "money". I wonder why???

It never seems to occur to anyone that if the promotion is a failure, the promoter pays the balance from his own pocket, and if it's a success the promoter gains, as the fighters also do, already prearranged by contract.

And another thing, Arum's agreement is for MannyP's purse (and perhaps even for any excess made in the promotion, NOBODY knows, except the lawyers and principals) and the fighter would normally would come away with a lot more of the proceeds than the promoter. The PPV companies regularly get a 50-50 split of the PPV proceeds, so the balance is shared with the fighters ( so much per attendee) and the Promoter, in an already agreed %age. Anything over, after all taxes and others involved are paid, would likely be shared out, again by contract.

Why do you think a contract for a gig fight takes do long with such arduous discussions and disputes?? It has hundreds of little pitfalls, from hotel rooms and food, down to the plastic refreshment utensils and paper napkins.

For all the talk, I havent heard one attempt to make a Pac vs Marquez 4. That was always just a bargaining chip. Pac vs Marquez 3 ending up the way it did give Arum so much leverage for negotiating this fight now. hmmmm i wonder???

Bingo! Arum will never allow this fight to happen.

How does this contradict what he said? He said Bob is concerned about his cut. You basically agreed. Read the bolded again. If there is no other promoter but Arum, and just two fighters, guess who eats into the rest? It would be a Top Rank show with a bigger pot for him to split. Why do you think he does in-house fights anyway? Use your head.

Maybe the fight was built up over years, but was there ever this much difficulty when it was time for the fight to be made?
