This is funny. So many cry-babies on this thread. I wonder what Gino Ros and IMDAZED will cry about when this fight gets signed? How will they possibly keep up the record pace of nonsensical posts, and hours of wasted time each and every day?

I told you all many moons ago that Bob pulls the strings and when Bob wants something to happen, it does, not a second before. Bob runs **** and when and if Bob wants the fight it will happen, if not you will wait. Bob is ten times smarter and played the game ten times longer than any clown living, including fans in a boxing forum. I don't like it as a fan but you have to come to grips with it or you will drive yourself crazy. When Bob wants to cash out he will, then you will have your fight. Until then you can discuss and project what Bob is thinking and what he will do, but you will wait until he does it. Bob runs things, others talk about it.....

You have to love Arum as as promoter, even if you rightly think he's a snake.

He wants to cut everyone out of the deal except he and Floyd. Forget Golden Boy and even forget Floyd's own economic advisers.

Just Floyd, Arum and the secret investors (who you know is just Arum himself). Why would Arum need investors? Get real.

Because most of the top businessmen ARE top business men because they were very risk averse when possible, and preferred to use investors' money rathen risk their own. This should be self evident. They leverage their investments and hedge against losses.

As for "secret investors", This requires big money, and investment of up to $300 mill or more, and it's natural for people with money to invest, to want to do so privately and secretly. They all have rivals and competitors. We never hear a word of the most famous investor Warren Buffet....until AFTER he has made his deals. and we wouldn't even hear about them except that the Regulatory Authorities insist on full financial disclosure when Public Companies are concerned.

And if the deal does not event, no big investor wishes the story to get around that one of his ventures was a failure. I would be sure that secrecy is a stipulation of these investors, at least until, if everything works out fine, and a great success attained, they might allow their names to be mentioned, and take credit.

This should be evident to any business/investment knowledgeable person. Arum is likely being approached regularly with offers, and has winnowed out the genuine from the blowhards. he is a sharp cookie. look what happened with the last group of investors who tried to make the fight as celebration of Nelson Mandela's birthday......... A host of lies and dodges in which it became known that Mayweather demanded $10 mill just to talk to meet them. Of course as normal with him, he denied this, but nevertheless, a proof of the fact was that the Mandela rep took legal action against Mandela's daughter, presently ongoing, for work done on this matter etc. I believe the investors were partially from Singapore.

Also..everyone who might be involved, realised the unpredictability of anything to do with Mayweather, and are understandably cautious about any public notice. Arum is out there because, as a promoter he is already "out there", and very properly, is taking it step by provable step.

If this all was begun by Koncz going to Mayweathers gym, he'd have to have had an invitation from Mayweather to do so. My own opinion is that it has been initiated by Mayweather, because MannyP's lawyers proceeded last week with their legal action against him, and his fantasy castle cracked, and he's facing reality. I'm sure that in any negotiations, he'd demand that the case be dropped. If I were MP I would refuse, and say that the money he'd make from the fight might pay for some or all of the fines and damages he's faced with. But of course, I don't know anything aBout MannyP's thought processes nor the legal advice he is getting.....except that it's good.

However, since lawyers of that calibre are ALWAYS very busy with big work backlogs, they prefer to settle out of court (as about 90% of all litigation is) and may advise him this way. One way or another, Mayweather and Co. are bound to come out paying in some way, whether or not he wins the fight.

Well at least we can see that you understand simple arithmetic, at least somewhat........ except that I think the "78%" was accidentally confused with 0.78%. And easy mistake, just a couple of decimal places moved in the wrong direction.

A lot of it is coming from Arum, and it doesn't sound real. It sounds like publicity moves after the backlash of saying "Pacquiao wants a fourth Marquez fight" rather than earnest attempts to contact Floyd or Golden Boy and make the fight.

I would have agreed with you a year ago that this fight was definitely going to happen, but it's pretty obvious that won't happen unless Pacquiao grows a set and starts telling Arum what to do, which he won't. Either Pac is scared, he's a freaking ******, or he is on PEDs and Arum will out him if he doesn't do what Arum says.

Someone that accuses someone of peds with out proof and when it's Obvious they're not on peds, that's someone that needs to grow some balls. Be real about the **** cause you soundin hella dumb

Hey Edgarg, it won't take 300 mill for a fight that will only gross a 100 mill. To stage this promotion,. it will only take about 10 mill, tops, unless you want to pay pac and floyd upfront, and then is will only take about 100 mill.

But boxers don't get paid upfront, especially with PPV.

Don't you think bob had about 100 mill in the bank?

Get real, it's get Arum trying to cut everybody out, so he and floyd can split the pie themselves.

I can't claim to know, maybe the older posters can tell me, but for comparable mega fights like Trinidad-De La Hoya, Whitaker-Chavez, Leonard-Hearns 1, and the like, was there this much bullcrap over the course of two years before the fight was made? Maybe the fight was built up over years, but was there ever this much difficulty when it was time for the fight to be made?

The last fight in which i can recall such antagonism and complications *although not to this huge extent) was the second Sugar Ray Robinson -Carmen Basilio fight. Robinson walked away from the fight when it was almost done, demanding..and getting an extra $500,000 .

To this very day you can hear Basilio rant about how much he hates Robinson.
