You've got a point there, but why is Cotto willing to overlook attempted murder for a payday?

well if we are going to take it that far lets just say the whole thing was staged, I mean Tony didnt have alot of fan interest pre Cotto, and look whats happening now, you all are talkin about him, your all going to watch the fight your all watching 24-7 so maybe this is all made up to gain attention why not I mean its like you said the fight still went down.

and I do agree with that why did they allow the fight to continue? that is pretty suspect.... but also my question is why havent we heard from the inspector who had signed off on one of the wraps, whats his side of the story?

Thats not nearly enough for it to be set as staged. Tony had a career as a feared fighter in the welterweight division. Cotto was his biggest win in his career. This ruins his reputation and his career, taking him out of boxing, separating him from his trainer, and making him a disgrace to mexican boxing fans. No way its worth it.

Let me ask you a question and please dont flame just make sense of your answer.
We saw how Manny Pacquiao wrapped his hands for the Margarito fight.. that was all done with Gauze and tape. but the way it was wrapped was obviously a concern for Robert Garcia who attempted to get them to re wrap but was told to **** off.

Now Tony never swelled that much in any fight before, and a single shot in round 4 broke his eye socket... and had him swelling like Billy Collins at the end of the night.

Knowing this, and knowing that just about every trainer in So California knows how to wrap their fighters hands that way to get those results, why would you use a substance that can get you caught like that and likely injure your fighters hands?

What kind of sense does that make? especially when you can get the same results using whats in the rules

From what I can tell that style of wrapping seems to be most effective with fighters that already have strength to begin with. The double wrapping just gives them more of an edge like Tito Trinidad/ Manny Paquaio. I cant gauge Tonys punching power now because it didnt show up in the shane fight or the manny fight. I have to see him hit something to discern where hes standing now but hes been kept on ice for saturdays fight. Cotto is still very hittable so theres a good chance we will see where his strength lies. I imagine plaster has a much bigger sting behind it than simply double wrapping.

I think if he really had plaster, dude would of broken some knuckles, fingers, hand etc the guy landed a bunch of punches, but it is kind of obvious that he did cause the wraps had that stained without being use against mosley i think thats is the most valuable evidence, margarito still seems to be heavy handed base on the performance he had with pacman, i was real happy when margarito beat cotto but him tryin to cheat against mosley jus kills everything he had done, margarito should not be in a ring no more, the only way to know if he used is when he admits he did cause he will always deny n even if he didnt most people wont belive him
