Champions should be fighting championship level fighters, not has beens. What's ******ed is people like you that are ok with him owning titles when he hasn't fought on that level yet. They could have brought him along just fine without taking ricky Hattons bro & slapping him in the ring with this kid to crown him a champion. It's because of ****** fans like you that this **** is even happening.

"Well it's ok, he's only 21". So he needs to step up in comp. Champs don't step up in comp, they're already there.

You're the only one who is taking his "title" seriously. For Canelo his belt is nothing more than a promotional tool get over it.

This is true, to pick a welterweight to fight for a vacant juniormiddle WBC belt was a disgrace. At least give Vanes or Kirkland their shot. Canelo. v Vanes is a fight he can win and will get a little respect Vanes is at least undefeated.

Mark my words security will not allow Martinez in the ring to ask for his WBC belt back. The the ring belt is the best belt to have anyway. The best thing for Martinez to do is buyout his contract with Lou Dibella and go to Top rank or Golden Boy I still believe Martinez can whip Carl Froch

Once Bundrage shows he's shot Canelo team claim they want to unify. I really can't understand how Kirkland/Bundrage fight has come together already. Thats a fight that can do well in california and d.c. the fight has the making a classic while it last.

Come on Bush, no Alvarez didn't earn a belt but stuff like this didn't start recently. This is a sport where once upon a time title shots were determined by whether you were in good with the mafia.

yea, ppl think this stuff is new. it isnt. its been happening for quite some time. in fact, guys like ali, leonard, tyson, floyd, benitez, sanchez etc. are quite rare, mebbe one or 2 in a generation talents who are born knowing how to box. alvarez isnt that, broner isnt that and jcc jr definitely isnt that.

And you know this How??? Anyway, I don't care about then, I care about now. As a fan of boxing, I want my moneys worth. To be satisfied. To know that the people making the fights care about the fans.

I find it funny that you, along with certain others are ready to make up excuses for it. Imagine if the steelers decided to play the seahawks for titles whenever they felt they needed one, we wouldn't like that much, now would we?

Alvarez and Broner aren't examples of what's wrong with the sport though. Chavez Jr. is, but Alvarez and Broner are good fighters who got belts and seem to be ready to prove they deserve them. If they start pulling an Andre Berto with these belts where they don't defend them against anyone with a pulse, I'll be criticizing them too. But you're premature in your harsh criticism over these guys having belts.

Andre Berto is the best example you could find? Why don't you keep it real then? Why don'y you say the top 3 pfp fighters name? He's the 1 that made it all ok. Old, shot, weight drained, fat, he did it all. Chaves beat a fighter from his weight class at the every least for his title. There is no way that you can talk about Chavez jr, but not Canelo, no way. And Broner, he got a gift win over Ponce De Leon all of 3 fights ago.
