If these guys are looking for $50 million guarantees a piece (double in Floyd's case ), then you need outside investors... unless Arum or Oscar have $100 million in loose change in their jeans or under their mattress.

But a fight that's guaranteed to return on big investments is a no brainer for anyone looking to turn a quick, easy profit. That's why you had groups from South Africa, Singapore, etc all willing to guarantee the fighters $50-$65 million so readily and eagerly. They invest $100-130 million, the fight makes $300-400 million. So they make a ridiculous profit in like 4 months and all they have to do is make a down payment.

I remember in the very beginning, back in late '09 Arum mentioned that some major companies like Pepsi were looking to get in on the action. If Floyd gets a guarantee he likes and a pro like Arum is putting the thing together... why is GBP necessary? Especially since as far as we know, Floyd isn't signed to their company, so why pay them when he doesn't have to?

Amateurish **** by GBP to not sign any form of contract and just freelance (unless they have some official paperwork we don't know about). They must've ****ted their pants when Floyd was flirting with Don King last year. This news won't make them happy either.
