DId the Corrales-Castillo rematch weaken the 1st fights greatness?

Everytime I go back to watch their first fight now, I just don't get that great excitement prior to their rematch that I would get out of the 10th rd. It's like, after watching the rematch, you realize, Corrales has no chance vs Castillo unless he does his little mouth piece spittin crap. In the rematch, Corrales knew he was screwed cause there was no spitting mouth piece out going to happen again once he was dropped. Though then theres also the weight issue which sort of pisses me off with Castillo. He made a follow-up to what was a great fight, controversial before the bell rang. I don't know, what about you guys? Still the same after watching the rematch, or has it lost it's greatness abit? The rounds before the 10th were nonstop action, no doubt, it's just missing something now.

HELL NO! the 1st fight is the best fight ever ( i think) and even though the rematch was a dissapointing fight, it doesnt have any affect on watching the 1st! and now hopefully ther'll be a 3rd and every1 can watch corrales beat the **** out of castillo!

I dont think so, i think the first fight is two guys throwing bombs trying to see whos the first to drop. The only thing i never liked about it is Corrales obtaining 3rd party help through the ref. Besides though it was an incredible, brutal exhibition.

The second one felt like live or die for castillo, who would adjust and who wouldnt. And for those 4 rounds it was an awesome display of offensive ring technique put on by both men. Castillo simply adjusted better.

Man you didnt watch the second fight you dip****!

The showtime announcers make a comment in the fourth round about when Corrales throws a jab it will be his first.

Castillo threw some great jabs in the second fight-you have it assbackwards.

You are as dumb as they get Manny P...and I absolutely love it!

Castillo jab???? You humour me. All I saw was repetitive ova use of ta left hook. It helped cuz Corrales don't got defense. Castillo jab????? What a ****in marooooooon!

Have you read this article from the front page http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=2216 ? It put that second fight in perspective for me,Its all about pride for castillo, and i can see how people can respect that, but it made me lose respect for him, because he never intended to make that weight. It completely cheapened that second fight.

The second fight wasn't a dissapointment in my opinion. It was a really good fight for those four rounds. It just didn't have a chance to get going.

It has no impact on the way I view the first fight. As a matter of fact I watched both fights earlier today and they were both as exciting as when I first watched them.
