Mayweather hasn't been using his legs a lot recently which leads me to believe they're no longer what they once were. I don't think he would be able to sit there and catch punches on his gloves and shoulders for 12 rounds against a extremely heavy puncher who would probably outweight him 20 lbs on fight night. Canelo likes to fight on the outside. That would be very foolish against Mayweather. But if he would set in his mind that he was gonna come out and **** Mayweather. I mean bag him on the inside. Hit whatever he can. I think that Mayweather may have a hard time surviving the later rounds.

I don't think Oscar is ****** enough to put his favourite prospect in their with Mayweather at this point.

Especially before a fight with Chavez.
Canelo is way too big for mayweather. I bet he was close to 180 in there tonight. Mayweather would never take that fight. Nor should he. If he wins, so what? If he loses, which is possible against a guy that big, it would crush him. Why take that fight? He can maje as much fighting nobodies. That's what he will do next too.

No way was he that big. You're saying that Alvarez came in fight night the size Calzaghe, Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr, and many other bigger fighters probably in around that fight night in some of the weight classes they've fought at? Mayb 170 at the max, but 180???

I agree. And even a crappy cintron its harder than mayweather. Cintron landed some decent shots and never even made canelo blink. Very high risk fight for floyd. That means he won't take it. I'd much rather see him fight martinez at 150.

Chavez Jr is not that good. Canelo would beat him, i'm sorry.

Chavez Jr. would school Alvarez. Alvarez hasn't been in the ring against anyone with a pulse. Fighting midgets and shot fighters is all that Alvarez career consists of and that bull**** paper belt.

Even with his cherrypicking ways, his cherrypicked opponents are better than Chavez Jr's cherrypicked opponents. Actually, I don't think Chavez Jr can beat Rhodes or Cintron. And Chavez Jr can not beat the guy Canelo wants to cherrypick next.

I agree. Clottey vs Canelo next please. Floyd would be fighting Canelo at 147 anyway......he won't get any credit at all.

That's what I expected him to say. This is the money team not team meteoROIDz. We don't say that a young hungry lion is too inexperienced. The people know better and that can be looked at as ducking. Canelo Alvarez can get it too.

To me, the notion of Mayweather not taking high risk fights is just ridiculous. He can't help that he's worlds better than everyone else.

As for Canelo and his ability to hurt him, that remains to be seen. Cintron bothered him in the 4th with a big shot. Canelo was staggered by Cotto's brother who's not a puncher. So I don't think he has a Margarito type chin that can't be dented. But I do think Mayweather's ability to hurt him would be the major storyline for me heading in. If Mayweather can hurt him, I think its an easy fight. If not, its gonna take veery shred of skill he has to keep this kid off him and score at the same time.

If Arum isn't read to put Pac in with Money, I think Mayweather surprises you and takes this fight. Its the biggest fight available. He has a bigger fan base than Khan. Brings a heck of a lot more to the table than Martinez in terms of market value. And at 21, Mayweather knows that he's only gonne get better, and at 35 he ain't getting any better. He's mentioned Canelo in the past. This event is set up perfectly now with the Cinco de Mayo date. 12-18 months from now, Canelo is probably too much for Money to handle. He may be just green enough, especially on the stage he would be on, that Mayweather could school him.
