Can we at least all agree, Miguel Cotto was never really that good anyway?

He might not end in the HOF like Gatti or Corrales, that doesn't mean they weren't great.

Fought a washed up Judah and got a gift decision against Oldsley?

          Even Clottey gave him trouble.

Margarito makes him take a knee again, just watch....
Cotto was and is very good. Clottey is a good fighter and he beat the mess out of Malignaggi, got the right decision against Mosley, and we all know Tony was packing plaster in the first match.

Cotto had a great career. He fought just about everyone there was to fight.

So yeah, his resume ****s on most fighters today.
Not only that Cotto is a champion in 3 different divisions. Cotto is underated this days by fans.

Cotto is going to the HOF for sure. He has done way more than some of the guys in there and if he beats Margarito there will be no doubt he will get in.

A prime Miguel Cotto is a completely different animal than today's version, I think right now he's definitely overrated in that so many people think he can beat some of the top Jr WWs or WWs with certainty.

Good fighter but not as good as some people think. He's 2-2 against the 4 best fighters he's fought (Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Pacquiao) and the two wins could have gone either way.

Cotto's had a great career so far.

If he beats Margo he's looking at another big fight hopefully.

Could you imagine how badly Floyd would have outclassed him? No wonder Arum kept him away from jr.
floyd kept himself away from cotto. look at the evidence.

floyd turned down a 7 million guarantee(career high by far)

arum loves in-house fights because no matter who wins he wins.

floyd demanded a 10 million guarantee(same amount he got to fight delahoya) to fight a 140 pound cotto. not possible to guarantee that much for that fight when looking at both fighters situation-cotto fought on boxing after dark and floyd was only doing 350k buys at the time.

floyd demanded 20 million to fight delahoya while he was with top rank but accepted 10 million after he left top rank which proves his demands were not serious and he just wanted to get out of his contract and not have to fight cotto/margarito.

after floyd beat delahoya and became a huge star he never tried to make the fight with cotto even though he was the next biggest star and would have made him the most money(a lot more than the 10 million he wanted before) instead he had a su****iously timed retirement when cotto was on top.
