Why is Sergio Martinez so desperate to get that WBC title when world titles mean diddly squat these days since so many fighters have them? He doesn't care about the belt, he doesn't want that belt, he wants Chavez cause of his fanbase and the money he brings in. And he's using the belt as an excuse to force Chavez into fighting him...

HBO is going back to exactly what drew major eyebrows and what gave Showtime praise. HBO is trying to get a superstar so bad that they aren't giving you the best fights. Showtime on the other hand picked up Berto V Ortiz, a solid fight and continues to show solid bouts. For a while HBO was doing the right thing but it looks like they are returning to their old form, quickly.

He said, he wants Andy Lee for that date, and if he cannot get Andy Lee a fight with Marco Antonio Rubio will be good for him.

After that Cotto or Margarito in May.

I'm sure Arum will make him vacate witht the excuse of a Big Money Fight with Margarito or Cotto on HBO, that fight will be huge , after that he will try to get Sturm in America to get a title for him.

Chavez Jr. has been talking about Sturm alot lately, and they will not care what Sulaiman thinks about that because, Sulaiman would have made vacate Chavez Jr. of his title

Well since it looks like Sergio Martinez will NEVER happen and that Saul Alvarez isn't happening, he should fight one of the top MW contenders like Quillin, Rubio, or Lee, or maybe even try and get a fight with Sturm. If he's not fighting Martinez, and since it looks like Alvarez isn't happening yet, he should fight one of those 4, anything else is straight bulls**t. Pirog looks set to fight Geale in a semi-big unification fight, so they are off the table.

Chavez Jr. should fight Rubio, Quillin, Lee, or Sturm. I'd pick Julio to beat Rubio, but Lee and Sturm would give him fits, and I think Quillin is slick enough to out-box Julio to a decision.

Also, if Sergio isn't getting Manny, Floyd or Julio, why are people hating on him fighting Matthew Macklin??? Macklin beat Sturm in my opinion, and is one of the top MW contenders and should have won the WBA MW title if not for the biased judging in Germany.

Sergio isn't ever going to get Pacquiao or Julio, and he probably won't ever get Mayweather, than he needs to fight Macklin, Pirog-Geale winner, and than either Quillin, Rubio, or Lee in 2012. If he wins those 3 fights, he needs to start calling out SMW like Ward-Froch winner, Bute, both Dirrells, etc.

If Manny and Floyd never fight Sergio, it's no duck in my opinion. They are both 2 weight classes smaller than him, and should feel NO obligation to fight him. It's like saying Sergio should move up to 175 lbs and fight Dawson, Cleverly, Hopkins, etc.
