having to get inside the reach of your opponent because you're of small stature doesn't make you an inside fighter

yeh fighters/boxers that were really good at fighting inside the pocket/inside

I think Tyson has the ability to fight inside, and sometimes, rarely did some decent work on the inside.

But, predominantly as you said, he was a mid-range fighter.

Most times the fight went onto the inside he clinched so he could get back into mid range, which of course his explosivness worked most effectively.

He wasn't the kind of fighter to wear you down, and chip away at his opponent on the inside. His main goal was to just blow his opponent out, with his incredible explosivness.
