I like Cotto a lot and I think he's a good fighter. That said, Julio Cesar Chavez is the fighter of the year, the baddest man on the planet and the number one P4P fighter in the world today. He's just on a different level.

Cotto would be well advised to go after one of the paper champions in the division like Strum or Martinez, because Chavez would take years off his career and even his life.

    44 have tried.

    Peter Manfredo
    Sebastian Zbik
    Billy Lyell
    John Duddy
    Troy Rowland
    Jason LeHoullier
    Luciano Cuello

First he wanted to bring us Chavez Jr - De la Hoya, now he says Chavez Jr - Cotto.

Keep bringing the good stuff, Arum. You're gold, old man.

You think there is a man walking the face of the earth who can beat Chavez?

not really interested in the idea of a jcc jr vs cotto fight. cotto i think is already pushing his limit (in terms of being effective) at jr mw...I have my doubts that cotto will be effective at 160...maybe if they did a catchweight i guess but then again I'm not too sure if chavez jr would be willing to do a cw since he was pretty against the idea of a cw when canelo's people brought it up.

You're overrating Jr pretty bad right now. I hope it wasn't the questionable Manfredo stoppage that makes you think Jr beats Cotto? Martinez vs Cotto/Chavez Jr are both mismatches, that's why I want to see them, I want to see these Top Rank hype jobs get brutalized. But I agree with Jr that Chavez Jr-Cotto is more of a match.

You gotta be pretty slow to even question if he's trolling. It's pretty obvious.

To be fair, Chavez would get destroyed by anyone who effectively targets his gums.

Well my dude, he did look a lot better in his last fight, that was a good performance. He is showing some good signs, but still could not hold his dads jockstrap.
