You guys have all the answers yet not one of you is even slightly involved in what goes on to make, not only a fight, but a whole promotion. You know absolutely nothing except foul mouthedness and obscenities. There's Chavez, whom Arum is making ssingle handed into a superstar, without him having had a single amateur fight, and Cotto, whom Arum has already made into a superstar, and incidentally made him a multimillionaire several times over.

So why don't you let the man do his promoting and get your enjoyment from the results. Neither of them will fight anyone they don't want to. That's not the way promoting agreements work, although you all delight in regarding fighters as ******.

    You're all just crazy.

If he is that's his business, and all the promoters use this as a bargaining tool, with none of them as likely to make fortunes for their fighters as Top Rank. It's not for no reason that Top Rank is the largest and best Promoting company in boxing history. They do global business and likely promote thousands of fights every year all over the world.

I don't care how old Arum is, nor how much he loves money, nor how much of a *** he is , not whether he deserves to die a horrible death as so many of you drag on about day after day post after post. I don't care how many PPV's are sold, not want to argue about how much each fighter should make, and that most of the fighters are doing it mainly because they can earn more money that way than any other within their limited educational achievements.

      My interest is boxing.

Laszlo Papp was really a welterweight who fought at middleweight like lots of fighters before and after him. But he was only 5'5" tall........ And he had an amateur record of 312-6 with a pro record of 27-0 when he was forced by his communist Government to retire. In 1983 the WBC gave him a special world wide approved award as being the best amateur and professional fighter in the history of boxing.

He was also the first (by over 20 years) boxer to win 3 Olympic Gold Medals, (3 fighters total so far including Theofilio Stevenson) beating Jose Torres, in his last finals. Torres was a stablemate of Floyd Patterson, and later world light heavyweight champion when he beat Joey Maxim. He is still active in boxing administration circles, I believe.

as great as cotto is.he's to small for 154. arum needs to just go away forever. sorriest ass chavez jr needs to be fighting at 160 and above. chavez is the sorriest mexican champion ever and would get destroyed by any top 10 fighter at 160.
