I just think that JCC Jr-Cotto match up is more competitive than a Martinez-JCC jr match-up.

IMO Cotto vs Chavez Jr is a bad fight since Jr will out weight Cotto by 20 pounds on fight night. I would like more to see Margarito against Chavez Jr since Margo is also a big guy and could easily get above 170 on fight night.

I'm sure Cotto will demand a reasonable catch-weight (158) likely and same day weigh-in requirement where Chavez can't go over 165-170.

IDK if Arum would want to risk compromising his new cash cow by letting him go in the ring zapped not weighing what he normally would and can comfortably perform at.

I could see why Arum wants to make the fight though as Cotto has name recognition and ppl who don't follow the sport carefully will say wow Jr. must be good if he beat Cotto so they can sell him better. That is the point of this to promote Jr and taking risks with him does not seem to be in the TR equation.

I'm don't think that's right. Martinez had his fight with Dzinziriuk a month before Rubio fought Lemieux. And if I remember correctly, Martinez made the deal with Jose Sulaiman that he would be the mandatory for the WBC belt before he was stripped.
