I'll add something to this thread and it's up to you if you want to believe it or not. Here in Puerto Rico, there was a tv night show called "No Te Duermas" and Oscar De La Hoya was invited a few years ago. The host asked Oscar about the Trinidad fight and what happened in those last rounds. At first, De La Hoya joked about not wanting Trinidad to mess up his looks (face) and then said that he just did not want to risk losing by KO during the latter rounds. The host then proceeded to ask him if Trinidad was a hard puncher to which Oscar replied that his punch was really hard.

Why do you think Oscar ran the last 5 rounds, he couldnt stand with Tito toe to toe at the end of the fight.
Its funny Oscar says he was winning and giving Tito a boxing lesson, then why did he run the last 5 rounds???@OSCAR
If you outboxed him from rounds 1-7 why not just do it from 8-12?
Oscar wanted no part of a Rematch which is why he stayed @147 to fight Derrell Coley
last 5 rounds? hahahaha better see the fight mate

those who saw the fight live and those who saw it on tape would suggest delahoya won that fight, clearly...if it is true that delahoya did not want a rematch its because he don't have to prove to the world that he beat trinidad...delahoya won round 1 to 10... trinidad won only round 10, 11 and 12...
i dare you to watch the tape again boxing charlatans...

I had that fight ODLH winning by one point. ODLH didn't run away with the thing. Don't know what some ppl saw here. Rounds 3-8 ODLH was giving him a boxing lesson. The first 3 rounds were close and the end of the fight ODLH ran, didn't box but ran. A draw wouldn't had been that bad.
It was an anticlimatic fight. So much build up in two great undefeated WW champions and it wasn't exciting neither it lived to the expectations
