I mean, Floyd's defense is highly suited for an orthodox fighter coz he uses his shoulder to block the orthodox's right hand, that's basically it.

He beats Pacquiao because Manny looks ordinary when confronted with movement, 2nd half against Cotto, the Mosley fight, and as we saw in the 3rd Marquez fight. He may have shown great improvement against your typical come forward stationary guy, but against the boxer-type...he's still the same fighter for the most part.

I for one believed Floyd will beat Manny decisively not because of movement, but if Floyd goues inside the pocket.

Floyd is an underrated inside fighter, and Manny doesn't fight on the inside, or rarely.

If Floyd can come close to this with Manny then I'd say Manny will lose. Only, if Floyd can come close before those flurry of punches.

What I do notice despite everything Manny did the last JMM fight is his right hand. Looks like it'll be one of the factors that can win him this fight.

Given his trouble with counterpunching, it'll be interesting to see what game plan Roach tries to implement. Not only that, but what adjustments they make during the course of the fight. That will be key, because Mayweather will make his adjustments rather quickly.

triangle theories never work, so i dont agree floyd will beat pac simply cuz of the marquez buisness. that said floyd is the most well rounded fighter in boxing today and fighting a lefty will pose no problems for him. he does better agianst right handers, but so does the vast majority of fighters marquez included. but marquez is a smart and well rounded fighter so he adapted. floyd will do the same, in fact he will probably do an even better job of adapting. thats what floyd does, hes a master strategist who breaks down his oponents styles, strenghts and flaws and then pick them apart like a surgeon. southpaw or not pac has too many holes in his game to beat floyd unless he gets lucky.

Edit: you misunderstood what ppl have been saying, ppl havent been saying floyd will beat pac bcuz of their respective success against marquez. its bcuz marquez had the style to beat pac three times and floyd has all the same tools but even sharper. the things pac couldnt handle (defense, angles counterpunching etc) floyd do even better than marquez.

Manny is a joke.. look at his weak resume. his former promoter admitted he avoided certain fighters because they would beat him.. pacroid is the biggest joke in sports history. seriously. he stands no chance against Floyd will be knocked out in 6 rounds or less.. only reason he got this far is steroids, matchmaking and weight draining.. guy is a bum.. who the hell is 3K Battery. these are the kind of guys he been fighting his whole career and stop with this 8 title non sense.. the ring belt is not a real championship.. smh
