He was in a war with Mitchell, and that stoppage was waaaay premature.

And again, the stoppage in the Sheika fight was a JOKE compaired to anything in the Reid Lacy fight.

I'd love Joe Calzaghe coming to fight in the states. Just not Florida.

The stoppage may have been premature in the Sheika fight, but the referee stacked the dice against an already massively outgunned Robin Reid. He would have been stopped regardless (indeed so would Sheika), but it would have been later in the fight.

In all seriousness I do got to Florida quite often for business, what part of Florida do you dwell?

...Just below the Tampa/St.Pete area. Palmetto to be exact. It's right above Bradenton as well.

I don't see you making any semblence of a point.

Calzaghe has benifited from many more instance of home town officiating in Whales.

Yet you pick one fight in Florida where it was irrelevent anyway, and say it's reason enough the fight shouldn't happen there.

        I don't buy it.

And I think Sheika had a much better chance of coming back than Reid did. Ried was out of it, and he was done for.

Sheika was nailing Calzaghe with some great shots, and that showed in Calzaghe's busted up face.

Calzaghe has been fought twice as many fights as Lacy, so doubtless he has had more lucky wins. He has definately benefitted from decisions in Wales.

However there is no difference between hometown officiating in Florida and Wales, both Lacy and Calzaghe have got the help of the officials in fights. Hence the fight should be in a more neutral venue in either Vegas or New York.

If your the same canadian that I remember seeing at the club (your kind sticks out like a sore thumb in the states)I think it would be pretty safe to say that my sis was Jaidon Codrington at the time of insertion....that would be fair to say right?

                  Wrong.

One referee made a bad call in one of Lacy's fights, and you're trying to equate that to MANY of the different poor instances of officiating I've seen Joe get in the UK.

                  That compairison doesn't fly.

Here you go, it doesn't get much weaker than this.

Calzaghe (I mean the ref) "stopping" Sheika.

that stoppage wasnt that bad, but the timing was.

i need to see the whole fight to be convinced one way or another.
