sergio needs to shut the f up about pacquiao and floyd. he's the middleweight champion of the world talking crap about knocking out a former flyweight on his god knows how many divisions. a middleweight champion knocking out a souped up welterweight, real tough sergio. even floyd who is already on his 5th division dont need to fight sergio. he needs to fight middleweights or call out 168.

My thoughts exactly!Sergio and his promoter need to give it up. The only reson May went up was to fight goldie, period. Pac went up just for the 8 division champ bragging rights, period. Pac and May are not going to risk their health for the small reward of fighting Martinez no matter how often Sergio shouts their names. There is no historical or financial gain to be made by Pac or May in a Martinez fight. All risk no reward means no fight.Comment

a single lucky punch of paul williams is what seems to have put this **** up there with the best in the sport? what? and "joint 2nd with fmj"? what?
firstly, floyd is by far in top spot and has been for the last 6 or 7 years bar none.
no ****in arguments.
****.
dont fighters make threats to fighters at the next weight class when there is no credible oppositon in their current weight class?
in reality i think pacman would dance all over the geezer and absorb some punishment as a fighter who "gives and recieves" but......and i DO MEAN BUT!......FLOYD MAYWEATHER can and does, come and go as he pleases...
i mean, he could come in at 154ish and make this **** ashamed to be seen in public ever again.
floyd has the game sewn up and thats it, he is the most natural conqueror of the sport even more so than the great sugar ray robinson or henry armstrong.
i am only 40 years old but have studied most of the premier boxers of the last 80/90 years and i fi were to pick a single fighter who could even come near to what floyd does so naturally then, i couldnt.
i would only go with ray robinson being close in weight only.
the geezer is fantastic.
what would or will people be saying when he beats pacman like he did juan manueel marquez? it wont be whether they fight, it will be how floyd wins.Comment

Is this clown still trying to use Manny and Floyd's names to stay relevant? He signed to fight Macklin on St. Patty's day like 2 months ago, stop pretending you're in talks with either guy. You outright ducked Pirog, Bute offered you a fight and you declined, and then you'll keep playing the 'woe is me, I can't get a fight with midgets card'. This **** is getting pathetic.

I agree with about 90 percent of your post. What I disagree with is the historical gain. I believe that Floyd, unlike Manny, can fight at 154lbs just fine if he wanted to so if Floyd wanted to push himself, he might take the fight against Martinez at a catchweight of say 155-156 perhaps and have the middleweight title on the line. Then the fight would be of some historical significance for Floyd. Other than that, I completely agree with what you stated.Sergio and his promoter need to give it up. The only reson May went up was to fight goldie, period. Pac went up just for the 8 division champ bragging rights, period. Pac and May are not going to risk their health for the small reward of fighting Martinez no matter how often Sergio shouts their names. martinez walks around 170-180. he is a natural fit at 168 where the talent is rich and big fights can be made but this guy wants to cash out his kelly pavlik and paul williams win by beating a couple of souped up welterweights in floyd and manny.Comment
