Its definitely not the reason Marquez was able to win 4 or 5 rounds in the fight. Marquez is a seasoned pro and I don't think people should discredit Marquez's achievement of being the best loser on Pac's record. If the stomps were an advantage Marquez would have outlanded Manny and landed the harder punches and Manny's face wouldve been busted up as opposed to Marquez looking like a bruised turd and Manny being unmarked at fights end.

The fact that *******s jumped all over that rubbish, proves that they know absolutely nothing about boxing. The real joke is that it took these words from Freddie to put an end to that ridiculous excuse.hold on.. ppl acctually complained over marquez steppin on manny foot? LOL!
everybody knows thats part of boxing, its gonna happen even if you dont mean for it to happen. making excuses like that dont achieve anything other than proving to the entire forum they dont know anything about boxing.Comment

i agree with everything you said !!!! but i think freddie is staying quite on this because he doesnt want to be unfairly painted as a complainer or someone who is looking for excuses !!! he is taking the highroad despite marquez qbvious ploy !!!!!!I detest conspiracy nuts, and hope never to emulate them. But, am I seeing here a slight receding away from MannyP by The Roach? He actually says that he teaches this in his gym. As far as I have always been aware, stepping on an opponent's foot is illegal, and although if accedental, is just waved on, if continued, draws cautions and ultimately point loss from the ref. I have seen this myself.
We can assume that Beristain teaches this too, as was very evident in the recent fight. An accidental slight entanglement or toe sliding over an opponent's toe is NORMAL, and always adjudged accidental, but in the recent fight, where MannyP's infringements of that nature were of the accidental kind, and immediately wirhdrawn, Marquez' were decidedly NOT.
He was coming down with his whole foot (STOMPING as The Roach calls it) right on MannyP's foot, and KEEPING it there as long as he could. His WHOLE FOOT. EVERY time. And each time he did this, Pacquiao couldn't get away, for enough time for Marquez to lot go several good combinations, whilst MannyP was split between trying to get away, and flailing helplessly in the air.
In the 12th rd we could easily see even without slo-mo, that he not only plonked down on Pacquiao's foot, but kept it there for at least 2 full steps, with MannyP going backwards and Marzuez going forwards, as if he was dancing on his foot. It just had to be deliberate.
So freddie teaches this does he. Well he didn't teach MannyP very well, as it didn't work for him (since he wasn't trying to do it) which makes Beristain a better trainer..Hey? At least in teaching the tango.
So I don't understand a top trainer like The Roach not immediately seeing the significance of these deliberate fouls on his star pupil, and shrugging them off as trivial, when they had a serious effect on the way the fight went. It looks insincere to me....or just plain ******, which I know he normally isn't.......
Also all the positive declarations he made that the fight would end in a KO after a few rounds, which made MannyP look a fool, as if it were HE who was doing the boasting.Comment

This whole " Pac out-landed Marquez " thing.....
..... really ?
Marquez was controlling the center of the ring from the very first round, go watch that fight again if you dont believe me, the ring general in that fight was Marquez, there is no question about that.
Marquez get the better of most of the exchanges, Pac couldnt land clean all night. Those compubox stats are ridiculous, they counted everything that Pac threw, and yet very little landed at all, let alone landed cleanly.
Marquez clearly won the fight, there is no question about that.
Judging by the facial expressions and body language after that fight, Marquez' camp was confident, and yet not one single member of Team Pacquiao thought that Manny won.... go check again..... in fact, Manny was being consoled by Buboy and Ariza.
There is no question over who won that fight.
