I detest conspiracy nuts, and hope never to emulate them. But, am I seeing here a slight receding away from MannyP by The Roach? He actually says that he teaches this in his gym. As far as I have always been aware, stepping on an opponent's foot is illegal, and although if accedental, is just waved on, if continued, draws cautions and ultimately point loss from the ref. I have seen this myself.

We can assume that Beristain teaches this too, as was very evident in the recent fight. An accidental slight entanglement or toe sliding over an opponent's toe is NORMAL, and always adjudged accidental, but in the recent fight, where MannyP's infringements of that nature were of the accidental kind, and immediately wirhdrawn, Marquez' were decidedly NOT.

He was coming down with his whole foot (STOMPING as The Roach calls it) right on MannyP's foot, and KEEPING it there as long as he could. His WHOLE FOOT. EVERY time. And each time he did this, Pacquiao couldn't get away, for enough time for Marquez to lot go several good combinations, whilst MannyP was split between trying to get away, and flailing helplessly in the air.

In the 12th rd we could easily see even without slo-mo, that he not only plonked down on Pacquiao's foot, but kept it there for at least 2 full steps, with MannyP going backwards and Marzuez going forwards, as if he was dancing on his foot. It just had to be deliberate.

So freddie teaches this does he. Well he didn't teach MannyP very well, as it didn't work for him (since he wasn't trying to do it) which makes Beristain a better trainer..Hey? At least in teaching the tango.

So I don't understand a top trainer like The Roach not immediately seeing the significance of these deliberate fouls on his star pupil, and shrugging them off as trivial, when they had a serious effect on the way the fight went. It looks insincere to me....or just plain ******, which I know he normally isn't.......

Also all the positive declarations he made that the fight would end in a KO after a few rounds, which made MannyP look a fool, as if it were HE who was doing the boasting.

everybody knows thats part of boxing, its gonna happen even if you dont mean for it to happen. making excuses like that dont achieve anything other than proving to the entire forum they dont know anything about boxing.
