Manny Steward says that McClellan would of beaten Jones Jr easily. I agree that McClellan would of beaten him again (and again and again), it's just not difficult to visualize McClellan's style getting the better of Jones Jr's style and McClellan finding the right punch early on.

Eubank never ducked anybody, he didn't go out of his way to make certain fights though because the US promoters couldn't offer him enough money to come to the US (nobody knew Eubank over there) and Jones Jr was unknown in the UK back in 1991 so there was no money in that fight (only risk).

Jones Jr was offered more money than he was getting in the US to come to the UK and fight Eubank, this was around 1995/96/97/98/99. I think Jones Jr must of knew that Eubank could give him probs.

how much was he offered to fight in the uk?
i dont think it would have been smart for roy to go to the uk and possibly get ripped off because eubank was so loved there

Its difficult to judge this fight because Lacy has never really been tested yet and Joe has been on the slide since splitting from his wife(ex-wife),so its difficult to judge and thats why the fight is exciting and Im looking forward to seeing what happens!

He was basically the most arrogant and annoying bastard to ever lace the gloves,he chose to play the role of heel because he knew people would pay top price for tickets in the hope of seeing him knocked off his perch.
