One thing about Pacman, he don't come up with reasons like Floyd saying "well, the reason why I didn't fight him because he got beat by so-and-so and he suffered a loss in his career 18 years ago and he's too tall, bla bla bla..., bla bla bla." Pac is the type that will fight anybody, a true champ.Comment

Two weeks now, and still crying about a close fight. I looked at it, and its still 2-0-1 for Pac vs Marquez... The second number still at "0" that's strange...
In ten years, it's gonna be the same result, Pacman won that fight and 3 ringside judges (not clowns) choose Pacquiao as the winner "and still !" champion.
Stop your tears kids :PComment

I want that damn fight. Mayweather shown to everybody that he's slower and someone with better stamina and agressivity could hurt him.
No bull**** fight with Marquez again or Bradley thats useless. Make it happen now before Floyd goes 2 years vacations or Manny goes polithics for ever.Comment

We all know that Pacquiao missed alot against a 38 year old Marquez moving up in weight and you still think that he can beat the best defensive boxer in the world , *******s are still dreamingComment

If he doesn't fight Mayweather and announces a fight with Marquez, or even Bradley, he'd be looked at even worse than he is right now.
Screw fighting Marquez a 4th time. Neither guy will ever distance themselves from the other in a fight, which is why they are great fights. Marquez is past his prime anyway, his performance against Pac a couple weeks ago just validates that we should give Floyd that much more credit for dominating him when he was better 2-3 years ago. Marquez is an ATG, but I really don't want to see Pac-JMM IV. If he isn't interested in the Mayweather fight, than at least fight Timothy Bradley. He's fought at 147 before, undefeated, in his prime, top 10 P4P, good fight.Comment

Bob arum has a history of f-cking up big fights.(Gamboa/Lopez)
He waits too long before making the fights happen.
Bob waited one fight too long.
I feel the May vs Pac fight has lost something to me.
I always thought that Floyd would win , but after watching the Marquez fight.......Floyd stops Pac.
This fight should have happened after the Pac/ Mosley fight.
To be honest, I would rather see Mayweather vs Bradley,Khan,Berto, Martinez,Cotto,AlvarezComment

Mayweather STILL has GREAT stamina. How are you saying his stamina is bad??? From the evidence of late rounds in a fight that we've seen the past couple years (Marquez and Mosley), he was moving just as well as he had been in the early rounds, probably better. Mayweather has always been known for great stamina, and that's why he usually dominates the last 6-7 rounds every time he fights.I want that damn fight. Mayweather shown to everybody that he's slower and someone with better stamina and agressivity could hurt him.

Sure, Floyd isn't in his prime anymore (2001-2007), but neither is Manny (2002-2009). They are both past prime, still really good. Sort of like Leonard and Hagler when they fought in 87'.
With Mayweather, it has to be effective agression to really hurt him. He struggled with Castillo in the 1st fight, De La Hoya (the first 3-4 rounds), and Ortiz (round 2 and the last minute of round 4) because they were effective in cutting off the ring and keeping Floyd on the ropes at the time. You have to muscle Floyd and be agressive, but also smart or you could get Hatton'd. Hatton wasn't strong enough to keep Floyd on the ropes the whole time, and Floyd timed him great the whole fight, and clinched when ever Hatton got close to doing any real damage.
How is Manny going to keep Floyd on the ropes??? Just throwing a million punches won't work, and we've already found that Pac's activity is greatly reduced when he's being countered and landed on, which Floyd would do. Manny is susceptible to the straight right hand, most all southpaws are. Floyd will clinch and hold any time Manny gets real close to do damage. Floyd's reach is also much longer, and he has the ability to hit Pac from distances that Pac couldn't really do anything. Manny isn't really the brawling type of fighter to force Floyd on the ropes and make it a dog fight. He wouldn't be able to, not strong enough or big enough to keep Floyd on the ropes and out muscle him. Sure, Manny has great power in his fists and great speed, but if Marquez can avoid a lot of Manny's punches by first countering effectively, and/or holding at the right times, and dipping the punches, I think Floyd can as well.
The major reason why I have ALWAYS picked Floyd over Manny is the fact that Manny still doesn't know how to successfully cut off the ring against a fighter that doesn't come straight in for the kill (Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, etc.) Marquez was hardly ever cought in the corner or against the ropes in that fight, only a few times every now and then. Victor Ortiz can cut off the ring better than Manny Pacquiao, he did 3-4 times very successfully in just 4 rounds against Floyd.
The key to beating Floyd is effective agression, cut the ring off and trap him against the ropes, out muscle him, and keep him on the ropes. Cut the distance and the ring.
Manny can't cut the ring off to save his mommas life.Comment
